Intermediate Fluid

An intermediate fluid is a liquid or gas employed for transferring heat between two heat exchangers. It is utilized when the hot and cold fluids are either too voluminous, like air, or challenging to handle, as is the case with halocarbon refrigerants, making direct heat transfer impractical.
