Regrettably, a fire on July 4, 2019, destroyed the fully operational blacksmith shop that served as headquarters for the Orange County Blacksmith Guild and offered regular classes. However, plans are underway to rebuild the shop soon.

The Heritage Museum’s latest campaign focuses on restoring the impressive three-story John A. Maag Farmhouse built in 1899, spanning 5,600 square feet. The restored building will house museum archives, offices, and exhibitions, while two original outbuildings will serve as meeting spaces and gift shops.
